"The Look"

I've gone on and on about how well things are going with Rebecca, and they are ... but ever so often, especially if certain things are not going her way we get "the look". Thankfully this doesn't happen very often because honestly, it's almost impossible to not bust out laughing when she does this. She also makes this little blowing out air noise right before "the look" hits. This was taken the other day at the park, the same day as all the cute smiling pictures. However, it was time to go home and in Rebecca's words "NO GO HOME". Thankfully we live VERY close to the park!

She's also learned how to voice her displeasure with us when she is not so happy with us, I suppose it's her very worst insult. When she's aggravated (really aggravated) she will say "Emma's yucky", or "Mommy's yucky" - whichever one of us happens to be the supposed offender. While I do not care for the choice of words, I am happy that at least she can verbalize that she is none too pleased at the moment.

It would be so hard not to laugh at the stink-eye when she gives it to you! She's still pretty darn cute even when she's not too happy!

Ok, I have seen that look. Our daughter Claire gives us the same look and does the little "spit" of air when she is angry. We have been home 7 months and we still get the angry look and air. I guess it was that spunk that kept them going while they were waiting in China!

All I keep thinking of when I look at these pictures is "what'chu talkin' bout Willis". She's adorable even when she's grumpy.
Thanks for the sweet comments, we are so excited!

Oh my....she is just toooooo cute! Look at that face! Actually, it's great that she can express herself and feels free to do so and "yucky", well, that's a much more pleasant word than she might use. I have one who uses "hate" when she's really mad. I'd much rather be yucky than hated...we are working on it! Usually when I get the "face", some mommy silliness gets them out of their grumpy moods. That's what I love about little ones. They are up then down and all around. It's never dull!
