Forget All Your Worries ... Forget All Your Cares

... and go downtown. Well, except in my case - we're headed to Oklahoma for spring break. Kind of a last minute thing and Brian isn't going with us. Not sure how I'll survive a 14 hour drive with 3 dumplings but I'm going to give it the old college try.

I've been just a tad bit on the stressed side trying to find a new job and so I'm taking this opportunity to go out and spend some much needed time with family. This is also a good time for everyone to meet Bex.

The big thing for me is, I'm not even taking my laptop this time because I think some time away from job searching will be a good break too.

For your prayer warriors out there, I would really appreciate prayer in this whole job search thing. God knows the end result and I trust that all will work out well but I'm ready to get back to work and see what God has in store for me next.

From my devotional this morning "Walking Through A Valley" I was reminded that to get out of the valley you just have to keep walking, you can't sit down and give up. Not that I've just sat down and given up by any means, I'm marching on as always, but it was still nice to read and have those words impressed upon my heart. It also brought to mind one of my favorite songs with lyrics "The God of the mountain is still God in the valley. The God of the day is still God of the night".

"Send forth your light and your truth, let them guide me; let them bring me to your holy mountain, to the place where you dwell." Psalm 43:3 (NIV)

"Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him. Every valley shall be filled in, every mountain and hill made low. The crooked roads shall become straight, the rough ways smooth." (NIV)
Luke 3:4b-5,

Have a nice weekend my friends, I'll be back late next week.

Have a safe, wonderful trip and I'll say some prayers about your job situation. There are a whole lot of people saying similiar prayers right about now. What a crazy time! Glad you have the opportunity to get away from it all and spend some time relaxing with your family (though I don't think the 14 hour drive is what I consider relaxation ;^)).
