Meet The Newest Member of the Hunter Family

We received the most wonderful call yesterday a.m.! We’ve been matched w/ a little girl off the Special Needs list who just turned 3. She was on the special needs list due to a heart defect that has already been repaired. She has been given an excellent prognosis for a normal life!!!

Isn’t she adorable!!! She already looks like a little Hunter girl!!!

Her name is Rebecca but we haven’t settled on a middle name yet.

From what we know, she’s a little on the ornery side which is a good thing. A meek/mild child just wouldn’t make it in our family!

The special needs process is a little different than the process we went through when adopting Emma. There will be paperwork sent to China and then an approval sent back and some other things so it will still be a few months before we travel. Maybe December? Just not sure right now. Right now, I’m trying to focus on the paperwork but it’s hard to not keep staring at her chubby little cheeks!

What a wonderful Lord we serve! The blessings he bestows are beyond words!

“For this child I prayed and the Lord hath given me my petition which I asked of Him” 1 Samuel 1:27

Carolin - I'm just popping over from the JuneBugs group and I wanted to say that Rebecca is SUCH a cutie. Look at that joy. Look at those cheeks. She's gorgeous. Oh, and let Emma know that I think she's a cutie, too.
