Toodling Around Kentucky

While my brother and sister-in-law were in town we took them to a few of our favorite places and then to a few we thought they would enjoy. It was a fun time for all! You can't come to Louisville and not try a Hot Brown so we took them downtown to the place it all began and introduced them to all that cheesy delishousness. Oh man, oh my - those things are yummy. If you haven't tried a Hot Brown I'm telling you it alone is well worth a trip to the 'Ville. Then the guys broke off and went to the Frazier Arms Museum while Laura and I took the girls for chocolate at my favorite place, Dundee Candies and then took them to play in the park. In all the excitement I somehow went off without my camera :-(

On Sunday (of all days), we took them to Versailles (the locals pronounce it Ver-sales, lest you think that it sounds the same as the France counterpart) and drove by some beautiful horse farms and even more beautiful horses. So now it's confession time ... hold on to your seats because you're not going to believe I did this ... but we took them to the Woodford Reserve Distillery. If you're going to get a true taste of Kentucky then you need to throw in a bourbon tour with the horses. On a serious note, their grounds are absolutely beautiful and they do have a nice tour. We had a great tour guide and had a wonderful time there too! I was able to catch some really cool shots of the girls while we were in one of the old limestone buildings that date back to the 1800's.

Here's some of my favorite shots from the day:

So now everyone knows my favorite shot of Emma was taken at a distillery.
