Emma & Rebecca

We're about to leave to visit the Terra Cotta Warriors, but I wanted to share something quickly. It was quite a stretch financially to bring Ryan & Emma with us but I felt very strongly that they needed to be with us. I'm so glad that I listened to my heart/mother's intuition because the relationship between Rebecca & Emma is just amazing. I truly believe that it has helped calm Rebecca and helped her adjust to us by having Emma along.

They are so cute playing together, giggling, tickling each other and then they insist on holding hands when we are out and about. It truly warms this mother's heart!
It's funny, because at home both Ryan and Emma will fuss with one another over who gets to sit by me and Brian has jokingly said before that it makes him feel like chopped liver. Well, I now know that feeling because Rebecca insists on being with her papa instead of me!
Oh, and a post adoption day photo finally.

Amazing....and so beautiful to see those precious girls lying on the bed giggling together. You were so wise to bring the kids. It's such an expense but a once in a lifetime event and I'm sure Emma's presence is so reassuring for Rebecca.

What a beautiful family of five!

Wish I could have taken the whole family back on our last adoption. Grace was 4 and it would have been lovely for her to have had her 2 sisters there with her. Oh well they were there at the airport to welcome her home and each took a hand and walked off with her. One of my best memories. I hear another little starfish was welcomed into her forever family the same time as you. Great news!!

I love the pictures of the girls together. Rebecca fits right into the Hunter family, she's a perfect match. I'm so glad you got to take the kids. We missed Adama nd Alex so much and wished we couldn have taken them. Have a great time.

Love your blog and the pictures of your happy family. Just wanted to remind you, Ryan David went to sleep by the door all most every night the first week we got him. He cried and took our hands too. I knew he wanted his foster mom. By the time we reached Guangzhou all was well!
Sending you many Hugs!!!

I just LOVE it! I knew those little girls were going to be like peas and carrots in no time. What a precious picture of them...and a beautiful and fun family picture too!!

I was on the fence about bringing Leah, I desperately want to take her, but that long, LONG air travel, extra cost, etc keep coming into my mind. I think you have sold me on making sure she does come to meet her mei-mei. You only need one kidney anyway, right?

Praying for you all everyday!
