Now That We Have Rebecca

Now that you know we have Rebecca, I wanted to back up for a minute and talk about the day we left for Xian. Our friend (and guide) Alison Yu joined us on Sunday at the Beijing Hotel. She is traveling to Guangzhou with some of our group. During the bus ride to the airport, she rose to say a few words about the pending adoptions. As she began to speak, her emotions overflowed. It was a beautiful and touching moment as she spoke about how God’s love brought families seeking children together with children needing families.

The Chinese are raised to hold their emotions in check, but Alison’s heart is too full of love and she could not do it. She shared her hope that all the children would be raised in the knowledge of God, which would probably never have happened had they been left in China.

And now ... what you really want to see!

Bless her heart, she was so scared but brave too.

We finally coaxed some smiles out of her. Well, really - playing w/ the remote coaxed some smiles. But this stressed out mama will take whatever she can get :-)

Look at that beautiful smile. She is simply precious Carolin. A family of 3 now...awesome.

I hope she is adjusting well, and all 3 kids are having a ball together. Can't wait to see a picture of all 3 and 5 of you together.

Susan has the best heart for God and Orphans. Tell we said Hello, and hope she is doing well. Maybe share our blog with her, so she can see Lily these days...lol.

Holding tight for the next post. I'm so excited for you guys.

Just beautiful. What a precious moment in time...tears are streaming! My heart just breaks for Rebecca as she makes that transition to her forever family, and how scary that must be for her. She'll know soon enough all the happiness, joy and laughter that lies ahead.

I'm praying for you all!
