West Virginia State Capitol

We headed to Charleston, WV over the Memorial Day weekend to visit another state Capitol. I think this makes 9, goodness - we still have a ways to go! We weren't able to take a guided tour because of it being a holiday weekend and the fact that a festival was taking place on the grounds of the capitol complex. We were able to take a self guided tour though and picked up literature to read.

All in all it was a good weekend. Charleston ended up being a lot closer than I had thought it would be and the drive over was beautiful. The festival was fun too, I've forgotten the name of it but they had folk music, booths for arts and crafts and then food prepared by local groups like Kiwanis, etc. The kids especially enjoyed the grilled corn!
